Technology Directions is a senior technology management advisory service designed to help C-level executives develop leading IT and Business strategies that will enable innovation and create competitive advantage for their organization.

Previous to launching Technology Directions, Don served as the Group Chief Information Officer for Barclays, one of the UK’s leading global financial services companies with operations in over 60 countries, based in the Group Headquarters in London where he was responsible for overseeing a £1.6B technology operation globally.

Prior to joining Barclays, Don was at Citigroup based in New York where he served as the Chief Technology Officer for Citibank North America as well as founding and chairing the Operations & Technology Council which governs Citibank’s international technology and operations activities.

Overall Don’s career includes over 25 years of experience in senior technology and operations executive roles at some of the industry’s largest and most global financial services organizations. He has been responsible for and led many large scale operations and technology integrations, as well as strategic reengineering and transformation programs at Chase, American Express, and Chemical Bank, in addition to those at Citigroup and Barclays.

Over the years Don has served on numerous Financial Services and CIO advisory boards for major industry organizations such as HP, Accenture, Unisys, NCR/Teradata, The Research Board, MasterCard, and Visa and was nominated for CIO of the Year in the 2007 FT Bankers Awards.

Don holds a M.S. degree in Technology Management & Computer Science from the Polytechnic/New York University and has attended an Executive Management Program conducted by the Harvard Business School.
